Night In Old San Antonio started with a color photograph from film of a Mexican dancer. She was twirling and spinning to a guitar and accordion song. I later converted this color photograph to black and white, illustrated parts of the image and removed portions and replaced them with numbers. This is symbolic of how culture has become a commodity. The Fiesta Celebration in San Antonio is not the mexican culture's celebration, but the colonizer's interpretation of Mexican culture. Unframed archival digital 17x11 inch print.
